Meet the photographer who gets what your wedding day is really about
From my heart to yours, here’s what I believe is one of the most important things to consider when planning your wedding day.
From getting ready, to saying “I-do”, and dancing the night away - your photographer will be there to document every precious moment on your wedding day. That means that out of every single person at your wedding, they’ll be one of the people you’ll actually spend the most time with. Crazy but true!
Here’s what I’m getting at — it’s incredibly important that you feel comfortable to just be yourself around your photographer AND that you actually enjoy having them around.
Because if we’re being honest, your photographer should do way more than just provide you with a beautiful collection of photos at the end of the day.
They have the power to add to your day and be a joy for your family & friends to be around - or alternatively to merely be a service provider who treats your wedding like “just another day at the office.”
Getting stunning photos shouldn't have to come at the expense of your comfort and spontaneity and I really want to encourage you to consider this when choosing your photographer.
So whether you’re thinking of booking me, or considering someone else, please make sure that you have someone that will be excited about documenting your story and creating an environment for you to feel like YOU.

It’s only fair that I let you in on a bit more about me if you’re to invite me to be part of one of the most significant days of your life.
So hello to you! I’m Jani.
When I’m not busy documenting epic stories or editing up a storm, you’ll find me spending quality time with my family, taking a daily walk or swim in the sea, sniffing out new favourite lunch spots, sharing an Ottolenghi-style meal with friends, and dreaming up my next adventures.
Jesus, people and adventure are my most valued treasures in life. I strive to be optimistic & brave, and intentional about celebrating life and the people in it.
Blame it on my creative brain or the fact that I’m a born ENFP - I developed a sincere love for stories in my early childhood. Mesmerised by the unfolding of the lives in my Ouma’s photo albums, I gained perspective at an early age about how significant, and yet inevitably fleeting, every person’s story is. And that’s also what I think makes it so utterly precious.

After finishing a degree in Food Science and Marketing, my creative brain finally got its way when I started studying at Stellenbosch Academy of Design & Photography. And soon after what started off as a *very* small exception of only photographing my one friends’ wedding, quickly shifted the entire direction of my life.
The love I developed for stories had found a profound purpose - and it is the documentation of a precious part of people’s stories.

My authentic style will be woven into the whole experience, from the way I shoot to the way I edit.
