Jared & Anika - As sweet as it gets!
My favourite weddings are the ones where couples intentionally invite their friends and family into their unique love story, and stay true to what’s most important to them. Jared and Anika’s wedding was one of those ridiculously sweet and sentimental days that’ll live rent-free in my heart forever!
Anika wore her mother’s wedding gown and pearled veil (look out for the picture of her as a little girl in her mother’s dress, it really made my heart melt!). And her engagement band and earrings are also sentimental pieces passed down their family.
Jared’s Spaniel, as well as the family’s Beagle and well-matured Staffy were guests of honour, dressed with matching golden neckpieces. They provided lots of joy to the guests, especially the groomsmen (see the bridal party photos😂)
The celebration took place on their family farm outside of Hermanus - Think fynbos, giant oak trees and views on views of the surrounding mountains. Most of their florals were also from Anika’s dad’s company, which all created such a festive atmosphere.
If there are two things that I can point out that really left an impression on me, it is how Anika and Jared were so present and ~ savoured ~ every moment of the day as best as they could, and lastly, the sincere love shared between them and their family and friends. The joy and richness it adds to their lives is a gift and a good reminder of what’s most important in life.
